If you are a couch
potato, then you must know that broadcast television stations in the US have
already shifted from analog to digital transmissions. If you want your
TV-watching pleasure enhanced without paying monthly charges to some cable and
satellite service providers, get a digital aerial antenna, but before you do
that, check your existing antenna.
Antennas and Digital TV
Signals 101
To get that clear
reception and pleasurable TV experience, you need to know if your digital
aerial antenna is capable of receiving both the VHF channels (2-13) and UHF
channels (14-51). Not all do, which is
why certain antennas, especially indoor ones, need to be augmented with an
additional “bowtie” or “wire loop” antennas. Having a digital-to-analog
converter box is not enough.
If the reception is not
delivering what you expect from it, what must you do?
